Peter Thiel and SoftBank Sell Out of Nvidia

Peter Thiel and Masayoshi Son just landed in the same camp: neither still holds shares of the world’s most valuable public company. A new 13F filing shows Thiel Macro completely exited its Nvidia position at the end of Q3 after first buying in during late 2024. It was the fund’s second-largest holding behind Tesla before the sale.
SoftBank made a similar move last week, confirming it unloaded its Nvidia stake in October as it looks to free up capital for a larger OpenAI bet. SoftBank’s CFO said the exit wasn’t a statement about Nvidia, just a capital-allocation decision.
Nvidia reports earnings Wednesday after the bell and the stock is already slightly lower this morning, recently down around 1.5 percent.
